Rabon Wins at Statesville, Boys Take 3rd and Girls Place 6th

STATESVILLE, NC -- Fifth grader, Triston Rabon, led the North Hills cross country team to a third place finish at Statesville Christian Monday afternoon. Rabon finished the two miles first overall with a time of 12:45. The North Hills girls team finished in sixth place in the race.

In the boys race, Carmel Christian took first place with just 19 points. Statesville Christian took second with 26 points and North Hills finished in third just one point behind. Scoring for North Hills, along with Rabon, was Micah Nguyen and Gentry Horton. Nguyen finished 11th with a time of 15:26 while Horton finished 15th in a time of 15:38.

On the girls side, North Hills was led by Jada Rice (17th) with a time of 18:56. Morgan Rice took 25th with a time of 20:33 followed by Jill Boger in 26th with a time of 20:55. Overall the Eagles scored 62 points for a sixth place finish. Carmel Christian took first place for the girls with just 15 points in the race.

The Eagles will race next on September 18th on their home course of Salisbury Community Park. The first race will begin at 4pm.
